1. Controller
Stefan Haselhoff[to be completed: street and number]
[to be completed: postcode] Basel, Switzerland
haselhoff.stefan@gmail.com · +41 76 424 07 62
No data protection officer has been appointed; a website of this scope does not require one.
2. Applicable law
The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) applies. Where the site addresses people in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in addition. Legal bases cited below refer to the GDPR; under the revFADP the processing rests on my overriding interest in operating the website securely and reliably.
3. Visiting the website (server log files)
When you open the site, your browser transmits technically necessary data which the hosting provider records in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- name and URL of the file retrieved
- volume of data transferred and whether retrieval succeeded
- browser type and version, operating system
- the previously visited page (referrer), where transmitted
This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to defend against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is not combined with other sources and not evaluated for marketing.
Hosting provider: [to be completed: name and registered office of the host, retention period for log files, data processing agreement where applicable]
4. Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies for analytics, marketing or profiling. There is therefore no cookie banner.
If you choose DE or EN with the language switch, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage
under the key sh-lang, so the site opens in your preferred language next time. The entry stays
on your device, is never transmitted to me, and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings. As it
serves a function you explicitly requested, no consent is required (§ 25(2)(2) TDDDG).
5. Third-party services
Fonts and the styling library are loaded from external servers. For technical reasons those providers receive your IP address together with details of your browser and the page requested. The basis is my interest in consistent and fast presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Google Fonts
The typefaces "Fraunces" and "Inter" are loaded from Google servers (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House,
Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company Google LLC, USA) via fonts.googleapis.com and
fonts.gstatic.com. Your IP address may be transmitted to Google, including to the United
States. Further information:
policies.google.com/privacy.
jsDelivr
The Bootstrap framework is loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network
(cdn.jsdelivr.net). Your IP address is transmitted to the network operator here as well.
Note: both could be avoided by hosting the fonts and the library on the site's own server. As long as they are loaded externally, this section must remain.
6. Getting in touch
There is no contact form; the site simply links my email address and phone number. If you get in touch, I process what you send me — your name, contact details and the content of your message — solely to answer your enquiry and to prepare or carry out lessons (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Enquiries are kept for as long as handling them requires; where a contract comes about, statutory retention periods apply.
7. Disclosure to third parties
Your data is not sold and not passed on for advertising. It is disclosed only to service providers needed to run the website or my practice (hosting, email, accounting), and where I am legally required to do so.
8. External links
This website links to third-party offerings, among them atemtrainingbasel.ch, the websites of various artists, and features by SRF. Data processing on those sites is the responsibility of their respective operators.
9. Your rights
Within the limits of applicable law you have in particular the right to:
- obtain information about the personal data held about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have data erased or its processing restricted
- receive or transfer your data
- object to processing based on legitimate interests
An informal message to haselhoff.stefan@gmail.com is enough.
10. Right to complain
In Switzerland you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. Within the EU you may complain to the supervisory authority where you habitually reside.
11. Data security
The website is delivered over an encrypted TLS connection (https), protecting data in transit between your browser and the server from being read. No one can guarantee complete protection against every risk of data transmission over the internet.
12. Changes
I update this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
